Super Blue Boy
Super Blue Boy is a 2D platformer that was created for learning 2D level design, the package we used was Super Blue Boy which had platforms, kill zones and the character and animations

Taking a unique approach, I wanted to create depth to my level by creating a shadow area on the platform, making it much more of a 2.5D perspective. The level has collectables and moving hazards as well as placed platforms for speed running through.

Beginning of the level

The beginning of the level is a slow pace with simple platforming segments for the player to run and learn the controls

Spinning Pillars

The end segment of the level is the toughest as careful jumps are needed to pass the spinning pillars.

Wall Jump U Turn

Using the wall jump mechanic, I created this U Turn segment to throw a difficulty curve at the player
